With its innovative strategies in biotechnology (recombinant DNA, cell biology, screening of peptide libraries) and medicinal chemistry (prodrug, vectorization), VECT-HORUS’ mission is to discover unique vectors that target the CNS in order to promote the development of efficient treatments for major brain diseases.

VECT-HORUS provides new chemical entities (NCEs) such as vector/drug-candidate conjugates through a targeted prodrug approach to its (bio)pharmaceutical partners. VECT-HORUS’ peptide-based drug targeting and delivery to the CNS is classified in the Highly Targeted Drug Delivery segment.

VECT-HORUS’ ambition in the next 5 years is to become a significant player in the targeting and delivery of drugs (and imaging agents) to the CNS at the preclinical stage.
